Nigeria Bar Association Expresses Concern Over Twitter’s Suspension

The Nigeria Bar Association, NBA through its National President, Olumide Akpata has express worries over the suspension of the operation of Twitter.

The app recently deleted a tweet by the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari. The tweet, according to Twitter goes against it’s community policy.

Buhari announcement the Government’s decision through the Minister of Information, Lai Muhammad.

The @NigBarAssoc has noted with great concern the extraordinary decision of the Federal Govt to suspend the operations of @Twitter in Nigeria and, by necessary implication, the right of Nigerians to freely express their constitutionally guaranteed opinions through that medium.
