Pastor Toluwani Odukoya Laments Death of Her Marriage
Pastor Toluwani Odukoya laments the death of her marriage, describing her separation as one of the most defining and painful experiences of her life.
The daughter of the late Pastor Taiwo Odukoya of The Fountain of Life Church revealed that her marriage ended due to circumstances beyond her control.
Speaking candidly, Pastor Toluwani explained that she never went into marriage expecting it to end. “Sometimes when you get into a marriage, you do not get into it to leave the marriage, it is like death. When your marriage is over, it is like death. So I could say that in the last ten years, I have experienced a lot of deaths,” she said.
She recounted that between 2021 and 2023, she endured multiple heartbreaking losses, including the death of her stepmother, her father’s twin sister, her father, and most painfully, the death of her marriage.
“All these happened in 24 months. It shook me to the core,” she added.
Despite the painful separation, Pastor Toluwani Odukoya emphasized that her ex-husband is a good man.
She explained that sometimes, even when two people love each other, life’s paths and God’s plan may not align.
“If God does not ordain you two to be together and you force fit yourselves, the likelihood of staying together is very low. It doesn’t mean the person is bad; they are just not good for you,” she said.
Reflecting on the end of her marriage, she admitted it was devastating to watch something she invested in collapse despite her best efforts.
“I was a good person, but I probably was not good for him and vice versa. To see all that come to an end the way it did really, really shook me,” she confessed.
