Mrs Abieyuwa Ikhidero, State Commander of National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Bayelsa State Command encourages parents and guardians to pay close attention to the relationships their children and wards keep.
She gave the encouragement while speaking during its sensitization campaign to Women Affairs Street in Yenagoa.
Mrs. Ikhidero used the opportunity to educate the public on the dangers of human trafficking and urged them to promptly report any suspected cases.
She emphasized that reports can be made by visiting the NAPTIP Command Office or through the agency’s official reporting channels, including the 627 helpline.
The highlights of the sensitization campaign included the symbolic issuance of red cards to traffickers and the distribution of NAPTIP’s IEC (Information, Education and Communication) materials to residents.
