Outline For Scripture Union Daily Guide 13 July 2023
Having been redeemed, protected, and provided for, the Israelites were to be forged into a worshipping community. This is one of the key reasons they were delivered from Egypt (Exodus 7:16). These days of technology, zoom church or fellowship should never replace the command in Hebrews 10:25.
It could only have taken God to give these people the wisdom and grace they needed to tackle their assignments perfectly. The commission was precise and accurate. Notice how the writer describes them in v.8b. They were skilled in the things they were called to do. There were skilled men and there were others to give support. What are some of their accomplishments? We see a similar division of assignments and labour in the New Testament in 1 Corinthians 12:12-30.
Did you notice the following phrases: “so that the Tabernacle was a unit” (v.13), “to fasten the tent together as a unit” (v.18), “and fitted into a single ring” (v.29)? What does this teach you about the body of Christ and what part will you play to ensure that this is achieved in your church or fellowship today? See Ephesians 4:1-16.
