South South Community Presents Award of Excellent Service to AIG Zone 16, Seeks for Partnership
The leadership of the South South Community in Bayelsa State, presents an award of Excellent Service to Adebola Ayinde Hamzat, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in Charge of Zone 16, Yenagoa.
Hon. Dr. Madapuye Dokubo Felix, president-general of the South South Community made the presentation during a courtesy visit to AIG Adebola Ayinde Hamzat of Zone 16 in his office in Yenagoa.
Madapuye Dokubo Felix, who doubles as the Senior Special Assistant to the Bayelsa State governor used the opportunity to seek for partnership with the Zonal Command of the police for the safety of lives and properties in Bayelsa state.
He stated that the South South community is ready to partner with the police in its effort to reduce crime in the society especially as residents approach the festive season of the year.
Dr Felix assured the the AIG of their support and willingness to work with command to ensure a crime-free society and peaceful celebration for both indigenes and non-indigenes in the state.
In response, the AIG appreciated the leadership of South South community for the kind gesture.
In his words ‘I am here to partner with all responsible organisation based in Bayelsa state who are ready to support the police in the fight against crime and criminality’.
The president-general was accompanied by members of the executive committee, traditional rulers of South South extraction and presidents of the various community blocks that make up the South South Community to the AIG’s office.
