South South Community’s Secretariat Shall Be Digitalized, Says Newly Elected Secretary General
Chief Barisuka Prince Beteh, newly elected secretary general of the South South Community in Bayelsa State says the secretariat under his watch shall be digitalized using modern technological tools and administrative trends across the globe.
He made the statement while speaking to Reflector TV reporter after his election and receiving the certificate of return from the Election Committee, ELECO over the weekend in Yenagoa.
Chief Barisuka Beteh, who is also the president of Federated Union of Rivers Indigenes in Bayelsa State, FURIBS explained that the South South Community secretariat shall be digitalized to reduce the cost of producing documents noting that the WhatsApp platform of the community will become more active in the dissemination of information.
Chief Beteh basking in victory returned the glory to God for bringing him this far in championing the cause of non-indigenes in Bayelsa state.
The president of FURIBS thanked the South South community for giving him another opportunity to serve in this new capacity saying that he will bring his administrative acumen to bear in the discharge of his duties.
He, also, thanked members of Rivers Community for their immense contribution and support for the election of all their candidates in the election.
Chief Barisuka Beteh, alongside three candidates from Rivers Community were returned unopposed during the election conducted over the weekend. He is the outgoing Public Relations Officer, PRO in South South Community.
The South South Community in Bayelsa State comprises of indigenes from Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Delta, Edo, and Rivers states residing and doing business in Bayelsa state.
