That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how the neighbours and cousins of Elizabeth heard about how God had remembered her, and they rejoiced with her. The miracle that came the way of Elizabeth made news, and caused those who heard it to rejoice with them. God gave Elizabeth that miracle that was noised in the neighbourhood. God gave Elizabeth a miracle that caused men to come and rejoice with her.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are about to receive that miracle that will cause men to gather and rejoice with you. You are about to receive that miracle that will provoke dancing and celebrations. You are about to receive that miracle that will cause men to gather in your residence to dance and shout for joy. You are about to receive that miracle that will put you in the news for the right reasons. You are about to have a public miracle.
When the miracle of Elizabeth arrived, the people who lived around her were joyful, and her relatives were also joyful. Both her family and friends were united in joy. Hear me as I hear the Lord: what is about to come your way will cause both your neighbours and relatives to unite in celebration of the wonders of El Roi. What is coming your way will cause people to come together to celebrate with you. The wonders of El Roi will bring joy around you.
Notice that there was no mention of bitterness and envy when the miracle of Elizabeth arrived. What came her way was not mixed with mockers and opposers. Hear me as I hear the Lord: the wonders of El Roi coming your way, will come in the pattern of Elizabeth: there will be no mockers or bitter hearts around you, just joyful people. You will not be celebrating whilst watching out for those against you.
Welcome to that season where dances of joy and celebration will erupt all around you. Welcome to the season of your joy.
Isaiah 61: 3 says: “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.”
