Streams of Joy Devotional by Jerry Eze 3 December 2021
Topic: NO REDUCTION
“And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.” (Judges 6: 2)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
In a bid to hide from the Midianites and the other enemies that came against them, the children of Israel made dens for themselves in the mountains. Ordinarily, when one thinks of dens, one thinks of an abode for wild animals like lions. So people who ought to live in houses ended up living in places where wild animals should stay. They moved from living in homes to living in dens. Their destinies were brought some notches lower.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: as 2021 gradually comes to a close, your destiny will not be reduced. You will not be brought down from your high places. You will not suffer reduction or demotion. Your greatness will not be reduced. Your influence will not be reduced. Your relevance will not be reduced. Your results will not be reduced. Your good news will not be reduced. Your favour will not be reduced. Your glory will not fade.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: your destiny will not be reduced. You will not go down. You will not fall. You will not be rejected. You will not be displaced from your wealthy place. Your destiny will not move from advancement to retrogression. You will not move from speed to delay. You will not move from success to failure. You will not move from the front to the back. You will not move from high places to low places. You will not go down.
As surely as the Lord lives, each new day will take you several steps higher than you ever attained in the previous days. Each new day will lead you to higher levels. Each new day will position you in the places of honour and influence. Your paths will shine brighter and brighter. You will not go from high places to low places. You will not go from important to unimportant. You will not be counted amongst them that retrogressed.
Every power of reduction that the enemy unleashed against you is broken by fire. You will not go down; you will not go backwards.
Proverbs 4: 18 says: “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”
