The Transforming Nigerian Youth Program, TNYP in Bayelsa State has called on business owners to use the knowledge acquired at the workshop to grow their businesses.

The objective of the program is to groom young people to manage their businesses well, expand it and employ other persons.

Lead facilitator Mrs Esther Wonimieye noted that the program which has been in existence for about four years now has come to Bayelsa State to help boost small and medium scale businesses particularly among women.

Mrs Wonimieye who is also a Business Service Development Provider pointed out that the program also provides mentorship and other incentives that would help businesses to make tangible progress.

“Participants are going to be part of the Enterprise Development Center, EDC data base, the sponsors in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and this goes with a lot of other benefits and incentives”

Also speaking, Mrs Joan Austin who gave an extensive lecture on Business Modelling, Marketing management and Growth Plan emphasized the need for business owners to engage in activities that would bring growth to their businesses.

“Growth Plan should be for more than one year, it helps you to allocate resources appropriately, convince investors to invest in your business and it also helps you to actualize your plans for your business”
