
VIGC, Partners Set to Host Tombia Community Sensitisation Program on Safe Space for Girls
The Voice of The Ijaw Girl Child (VIGC) and its partners are set to host a community sensitisation program in Tombia town on Saturday, 2nd August 2025.
According to the flier circulating on social media, the sensitisation program is in collaboration with Deborah Ebisinde Filatie Women and Children Developmental Foundation.
The community sensitisation will focus on adolescent sexual and reproductive health, gender-based violence (GBV), and community dialogue (with parents, youth, teenagers, and leaders).
Other areas of the program are safe corner, a private one-on-one engagement support, and skill acquisition in liquid soap-making training for girls and young women.
Timipre Tobi Ebiringa, the executive director of VIGC, will be hosting the sensitisation program alongside Dr. Joan Filatei of Deborah Ebisinde Women and Children Developmental Foundation, Fidelia Mac Eke of Fidelia Mac-Ake Foundation and Debbie Boro Waritimi of Passiton with Debbie Initiative will serve as facilitators.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, 2nd August 2025 at the Community Town Hall with Blessing Teddy as Moderator.
