AGN to Conduct Membership Verification for Bayelsa Actors Ahead of Election
All registered actors in Bayelsa State have been notified of an upcoming membership verification exercise by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), scheduled to hold from Thursday, March 12 to Saturday, March 14.
The exercise, according to the Bayelsa State Chairman of AGN, Athy Nestor Oki, will take place daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Ernest Ikoli Media Complex located along Azikoro Road in Ekeki, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Oki explained that the verification exercise will be conducted under the supervision of the South-South Vice President of AGN, Dr. Barthelomew Agu’ugo, who will be visiting the state for the purpose.
He emphasized that the exercise is aimed at updating the guild’s membership database ahead of the forthcoming AGN elections. According to him, only actors whose records are properly verified and updated will be eligible to participate in the electoral process.
The AGN chairman urged all registered actors in the state to take advantage of the exercise, noting that the verification is necessary for members who intend to vote or contest in the upcoming guild elections.
He added that the leadership of the guild remains committed to strengthening the administrative structure of the association and ensuring that all members are properly documented in the official database.
Members are therefore advised to attend the verification within the stipulated dates to avoid being excluded from participating in the electoral process.
