AWAGBV Set to Honour Champions of Human Rights in 2025 Awards
The Association of Women Against Gender-Based Violence (AWAGBV) is set to host A Night of Royalty, its annual Human Rights Award Night, on December 7, 2025, at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Onopa. The prestigious event, scheduled for 4pm, will celebrate individuals and organisations driving meaningful impact in the fight against gender-based violence across the country.
According to the organisers, this year’s edition promises to be one of the most remarkable, spotlighting advocates whose work has strengthened protection systems, empowered survivors, and advanced human rights in various communities. The ceremony will be anchored by popular hosts Yolanda and Koboko.
Chairperson of the Planning Committee, Miss Grace Asah, said the award night is designed not only to recognise outstanding contributions but also to inspire more voices to rise in defence of human dignity. She noted that AWAGBV remains committed to creating a society free from violence, especially against women and girls.
Guests at the event will experience an evening of elegance, reflection, and celebration as AWAGBV honours those leading transformative change in the fight against gender-based violence.
