Bayelsa SDP Guber Candidate Promise All Inclusive Government When Elected
Ahead of the November 11,2023 gubernatorial election in Bayelsa state, the newly elected gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party, (SDP), Bar. Joshua Beinalayefa has stated that his government give everyone the opportunity to have access to social justice thereby making governance all inclusive if elected to be at the helms of affairs of the state.
Bar. Joshua Beinalayefa who stated this shortly after emerging as the gubernatorial candidate of SDP after a keenly contested primary election further reiterated that his emergence as the flagbearer of the party witnessed a free and fair electioneering process which according to him, represents what SDP stands for.
He opined that Bayelsa state presently lacks competent leadership which has made developmental strides very slow, adding that the state contributes significantly to the federation account and should therefore be among the comity of most developed states in the country.
In this vein, the SDP Guber candidate hinted that he would galvanize the youths and set a paradigm shift from the old order, stressing that Infrastructural development, power, water reticulation system, accessible and affordable health care delivery system and qualitative education will be his watchwords if given the mandate to lead the state.
He promised to run a government anchored on the principle of social justice, equality, fairness and the commitment to provide a level playing field for all Bayelsans to thrive.
Earlier, the National Chairman of SDP, Alhaji Shehu Muss Gadam who was represented by the Chairman of electoral committee at the primary election in Yenagoa, Mohammed Ibrahim pointed out that the election of the governorship candidate is a family affairs and every member of the party will support the winner of the election to ensure victory at the governorship election in November, 2023.
The state Chairman of SDP, Hon. Allen Amadien thanked all members of the party, particularly the delegates for thier doggedness and commitment to orderliness all through the election, emphasizing that the election was generally peaceful and would show to the whole world that SDP is a party that believes in transparency and accountability.
