Wariowei Congratulates Governor Diri Over Victory At PDP Primaries
Senior Special Assistant to the Governor and Focal Person for Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, Dr. Ebiwari Wariowei has congratulated Governor Douye Diri for emerging the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the November 11th gubernatorial election in the state.
Governor Diri, emerged victorious at the primaries conducted by the Governor of Osun, Senator Ademola Adeleke, having polled three hundred and five (305) votes.
At the Gabriel Okara Cultural Centre, Yenagoa., venue of the PDP primaries, Governor Diri described the process as the most transparent, even though it was an unnecessary one as he was the sole aspirant of the PDP.
Speaking through his Press Secretary, Mr Pereokosifa Buseni, the SSA on SDGs, said Governor Diri had performed beyond expectation, hence the high number of votes by delegatee to ensure his continuity for a second term in office.
He assured the Governor of his continued support, nothing that Yenagoa Local Government Area, where he is from and other LGAs, will vote for him to continue the good work he started in 2020.
According to Dr. Wariowei, the PDP is the dominant party in the state, and going by the outcome of the last general election, it is evident that the party will continue to hold sway as the most popular party with clear evidence to show.
He said the people have cone to trust the Prosperity Administration of Senator Diri, considering the prompt payment of salaries, pension and gratuity, three senatorial road and other road projects, among other laudable projects and programmes which are aimed at changing the life of the people.
Dr Wariowei thanked God for his blessings for the state and it’s leadership led by Senator Diri, and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and prayed for renewed wisdom, vigor, passion and perfect health to continue serving the state.
He admonished Bayelsans to support Governor Diri and his government to achieve all set goals, adding that when re-elected, he will double his effort to enthrone a more developed and sustainable Bayelsa for all.
