Organizers of the prestigious Bayelsa Media Network Awards (BMNA), a credible recognition platform in the Niger Delta known for its transparent selection process, have nominated HRH (Amb.) Mason Lucky Unuke, Paramount Ruler of Ususu Community, Joinkrama, Ahoada-West LGA of Rivers State, for the Award of Excellence as “Peace Ambassador of the Year.”
In a statement issued to newsmen in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, the Project Manager of BMNA, Mr. Blessing Matthew Ozegbe, said the nomination of the revered monarch is a result of his pedigree and consistency in promoting peace initiatives and advocacy, especially at the grassroots.
Mr. Ozegbe described HRH (Amb.) Mason Lucky Unuke as a man of impeccable character—honest, a bridge builder, peacemaker, philanthropist, distinguished leader, human capacity builder, and a compassionate monarch whose love for his people and humanity is genuine and incomparable. He further noted that the monarch is a man of integrity with a strong developmental drive.
He urged the revered monarch not to relent in his efforts, noting that his antecedents in peacebuilding and silent empowerment programmes are commendable and have placed him in the spotlight. The BMNA Project Manager also admonished other royal fathers in Engenni Kingdom and Nigeria at large to emulate the peace advocacy initiatives of HRH (Amb.) Mason Lucky Unuke and apply them in their respective kingdoms.
