Chioma Chukwuka – Life Beyond Acting as Movie Producer and Brand Ambassador
Report by Jonah DaSaint – On Sunday 12 March 2023, screen dive, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha celebrated her 43rd birthday, read her life beyond acting as she dived into movie production as a producer and becoming a renowned ambassador to several brands locally and internationally.
She debut in the move, The Apple in 2000 and 23 years down the line, the list of movies is endless. She has produced 8 movies to her credit.
Her Birth Date and Place
Chioma was born in Lagos State on 12 March 1980 but hails from Anambra State, Nigeria.
Her Education
She started her primary education at Onward Nursery and Primary School in Lagos and than Federal Government Girls College, Onitsha, Anambra State.
Chioma studied Banking and Finance at the Lagos State University.
Acting Career
Chioma started her acting career in the movie, ‘The Apple’ in 2000 but as at today the list is endless winning several awards and getting nominations.
Endorsement Deals
Chioma has being a brand ambassador to several local and international brands. In November 2018, Erisco Foods made Chioma their brand ambassador followed by telecommunication giants, Globacom Nigeria. Omo Detergent and Harpic Cleaner also endorsed her as their brand ambassador.
As Movie Producer
Chioma after three years as an actress dived into Movie production. As a movie producer, she has eight movies to her credit. She started with ‘On Bended Knees’ in 2013, ‘Cry of the  Dead’ in 2016 and ‘Dark Cloud’ in 2019.
Her Awards
According to Wikipedia, in 2007, Chioma won the Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Award, AMAA in her role in 2005 movie, ‘Sins of the Flesh. Also, at the Afro Hollywood Award, Chioma won the Best Actress in a Leading Role.
Marital Status
Chioma is married to Franklyn Akpotha. The couple got married in 2006.
