The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has applauded the Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) for its sustained commitment to deepening Nigerian Content development during Day 5 activities of the NLNG Nigerian Content Stakeholders’ Retreat and Appreciation Night 2025 in Finima, Bonny Island.
The Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, represented by the Director of Capacity Building, Engr. Abayomi Bamidele, said the retreat has remained a strong platform for open dialogue, strengthened partnerships and sustainable growth within Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
He praised NLNG for the impacts achieved through collaborative initiatives, including the Service Level Agreement (SLA), the Technical Working Group, and ongoing staff secondment programmes. According to him, these efforts have continued to enhance efficiency, build industry capacity and foster stronger regulator-operator synergy.
Engr. Ogbe highlighted the Nigerian Content milestones of the Train 7 Project, noting its significant contribution to capacity building and direct job creation for thousands of young Nigerians. He urged NLNG and other operators to scale up support for the Field Readiness Training Programme, which aims to train 10,000 youths in critical oil and gas skills. He also emphasized the need to fast-track key Nigerian Content Development Initiatives (CDIs), including the Nigerian Content E-Market Place and the Brass Shipyard project.
“These partnerships show that when the regulator and operators work hand in hand, the entire nation wins,” he said.
The Executive Secretary reaffirmed NCDMB’s commitment to expanding collaboration with industry stakeholders and encouraged NLNG to continue leading by example in Nigerian Content implementation.
Notable attendees included Dr. Rabiu Suleiman of the NLNG Board; Architect Denzel Kentebe, former Executive Secretary of NCDMB; Nnamdi Anowi, General Manager, Production, NLNG; Dr. Obinna Ezeobi, General Manager, Corporate Communications, NCDMB; Emmanuel Udeh, Head, NC Assurance & Mentor, NCD; and Engr.
