
NCDMB Inspects Oloibiri Museum Project, Commends Progress in Bayelsa
The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has conducted a project monitoring visit to the Oloibiri Museum and Research Centre (OMRC) construction site in Otuabagi, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The inspection team was led by the Director of Corporate Services, Dr. Abdulmalik Halilu, as part of the Board’s statutory oversight responsibilities to assess, document and validate the level of progress achieved on the landmark project.
Speaking during the visit, Dr. Halilu expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work carried out so far, commending the project contractor, Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, for its professionalism and adherence to approved standards.
He reaffirmed the NCDMB’s commitment to ensuring the timely completion of the Oloibiri Museum and Research Centre, stressing that the Board remains focused on delivering the project in line with stipulated quality, safety requirements and approved schedules.
The Oloibiri Museum and Research Centre is a historic national project designed to preserve Nigeria’s petroleum heritage, particularly the legacy of Oloibiri as the birthplace of the country’s oil industry.
The monitoring visit underscores NCDMB’s continued dedication to effective project supervision and accountability, as well as its resolve to ensure that strategic national infrastructure projects are delivered to specification and for the benefit of present and future generations.
