NCDMB Reaffirms December 2026 Deadline for Radisson Conference Hotel Yenagoa
The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a world-class hospitality and conference facility in Yenagoa by December 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen critical infrastructure for Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Felix Omatsola Ogbe, gave the assurance on Thursday while hosting stakeholders from Edison Properties and Megastar Technical and Construction Company during a one-day project management tour and workshop at the Nigerian Content Tower.
Ogbe emphasised the importance of completing and commissioning the project within the stipulated timeline, noting that the facility is pivotal to unlocking economic opportunities and enhancing activities across the oil and gas value chain.
The proposed Radisson Conference Hotel Yenagoa, designed to meet international five-star standards, is expected to serve as a strategic hub for industry conferences, investor engagements, and high-level business meetings. The project, according to him, will significantly boost economic activities in Bayelsa State, the Niger Delta, and the country at large.
In his remarks, the Managing Director of Edison Hotel and Properties, Reddy Vathasallum, assured stakeholders of timely delivery in line with global standards and best practices.
The workshop featured detailed presentations on project progress and hotel management by representatives of Radisson Hotel Group and concluded with an inspection tour of the facility.
Stakeholders at the event expressed optimism that the successful delivery of the project would further position Yenagoa as a key destination for business and investment in Nigeria’s energy sector.
