PFN Lagos Denies Issuing Directive Barring Churches From Inviting Certain Ministers
The Lagos State chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has debunked reports claiming it issued a communiqué instructing churches not to invite certain ministers of the gospel to their programmes.
In an official statement, Chairman of PFN Lagos State, Pastor Yemi Davids, said neither he nor the state chapter had received, issued, or been informed of any such directive at both state and national levels. He emphasised that the PFN does not operate any policy of secretly excluding or blacklisting ministers.
According to him, the fellowship remains committed to engaging all genuine servants of Christ in love, honour, and unity.
Pastor Davids noted that such sensitive reports can stir unnecessary concern among believers, stressing that the PFN prefers to address issues with clarity, humility, and respect. He reaffirmed the body’s commitment to strengthening unity within the Nigerian Church.
The statement also drew attention to the current national challenges, including insecurity, kidnappings, and attacks on citizens and worshippers, particularly in states like Kwara, Kebbi and Benue. He said the PFN’s focus at this time is to encourage prayer, compassion, and constructive engagement for peace and healing in the country.
Pastor Davids urged Christians across Nigeria to remain united and steadfast in faith as the nation navigates these difficult times.
