Kemi Adeosun: “Powerful Enemies” Forced Me Out of Buhari Cabinet
Former Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun has said her resignation from the administration of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari was triggered by what she called “powerful enemies” within government.
Speaking on Inside Sources on Channels Television, Adeosun explained that the controversy over her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate was exploited by influential figures who wanted her out of office.
Her exit continues to draw public praise on social media. Julius Awotimiro wrote: “You did well by resigning honourably even though you were one of the finest ministers in the Cabinet at the time. At least no one has accused you of stealing public fund.”
Gbenga Rowland added: “Great woman, don’t mind them. Many Nigerians love you. You displayed integrity, brilliance, trustworthiness, and competency while serving as Minister of Finance. God bless you, madam.”
Babajide Runsewe said: “You played a good part. What ended the Buhari administration could have been a disaster. Thank God you left when ovation was at its loudest.”
Adesanya Ajao commented: “You were making significant gains for the Buhari government in the economic sector. Those who exploited issues to get at you probably wanted something you didn’t give.”
Public reactions underscore widespread admiration for Adeosun’s tenure, highlighting her competence, integrity, and the respect she continues to command despite the controversies surrounding her resignation.
