
Rivers Community President, Beteh Bags Doctoral Degree in Conflict Resolution, Says It’s the Grace of God
The President of the Federated Union of Rivers Indigenes in Bayelsa State (FURIBS), also known as the Rivers Community, Chief Dr. Barisuka Prince Beteh, has successfully earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Conflict Resolution from the Niger Delta University, NDU Bayelsa State marking the culmination of years of dedication, resilience, and academic pursuit.
Dr. Beteh, who leads the umbrella body of Rivers indigenes residing in Bayelsa State, described the achievement as a journey defined by determination and courage, noting that it ultimately ended in praise and celebration.
Reflecting on the milestone, he expressed profound gratitude to God for seeing him through the rigorous academic process. “Indeed, it was a journey of determination and courage. It ended in praise and celebration. PhD done and dusted. To God alone be all the glory,” he said.
The newly attained doctorate is expected to further strengthen his leadership capacity, particularly in fostering unity and addressing disputes among members of the Rivers Community in Bayelsa State, as well as contributing meaningfully to peacebuilding efforts across the Niger Delta region.
