TOPIC: INDICES OF A PROFTABLE LIFE

SCRIPTURE: These people have I formed for myself. They shall show forth my praise. ISAIAH 43:21.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You live at a loss if you live to bring shame and disgrace to God’s Name.

God’s Will for His children is for them to live a profitable life on earth. We were not created by God to bring losses to Him but profit to His Kingdom.

Now, what are the indices of a fruitful and profitable life?

i. Living to glorify the Creator.
This is living to bring praises to God with your life.
Living to glorify your Creator is a way of living profitably on earth.
Isaiah 43:21 says,
These people have I formed for myself. They shall show forth my praise.
It is living in such a way that people honour God because of your life. You live at a loss if you live to bring shame and disgrace to God’s Name.

ii. Living to be fruitful.
Living to deploy life’s potentials is living profitably.
When you live to deploy life’s potentials for the benefit of both Divinity and humanity, you are living profitably.
Genesis 1:28 says,
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

By being fruitful, God is saying to you, “Whatever I have put into you, use it to profit the Kingdom and mankind. Whatever your gift, grace, or ability, use it for the benefit of the Kingdom and mankind.”

iii. Living to positively reproduce your life and character in others.
Living profitably is living to positively reproduce your life and character in others (Genesis 1:28).
John 15:16 says, Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My Name, he may give it you.

I always tell people, “You are not living profitably if no one is taking steps after you or wants to be like you. If people are not asking you questions on how to live or learning from you, it means your life is not fruitful.”

Beloved, make up your mind to live a fruitful and productive life.

Remember this: You live at loss if you live to bring shame and disgrace to God’s Name.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Make up your mind to live to the pleasure of your Maker.

2. Let your life bear good fruit for the Kingdom of God.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for the grace to live to please You. Help me to be fruitful, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
