Serian Martins Set To Film Her Next Movie In Yenagoa
Fast-rising Nollywood actress, producer and model, Serian Martins, has revealed that her next movie project will be filmed in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. The announcement was made during her fireside chat session at the second edition of the Bayelsa Creative Converge, where she joined other industry professionals to discuss the future of the creative sector.
Martins said the choice of Yenagoa was deliberate, noting that the city’s unique landscape and cultural richness offer an authentic backdrop for storytelling. She emphasized that the upcoming film will feature largely emerging actors who are eager to showcase their talent while promoting Bayelsa to a global audience.
According to her, creating opportunities for young creatives is a major motivation behind the project. “There are so many gifted actors in Bayelsa who just need a platform. This movie will give them a chance to be seen,” she said.
The actress also reflected on her journey in Nollywood, recounting how she started as an actor before venturing into content creation and film production. She spoke about building her YouTube channel as a means to tell her own stories and maintain creative control over her craft.
