“And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.” (1 Kings 18: 40)

When the fire fell on Mount Carmel, Elijah demanded that the prophets of Baal be killed. In Baal worship, there was often a need to appease Baal by throwing someone into the fire. It was not a case of someone wanting to be in the fire; it was a case of someone being thrown into the fire against their wishes. It was a case of ending someone’s destiny abruptly. It was a case of death just to make Baal happy.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every power of hell that wants to cut short your destiny, I command it to perish by fire. Your destiny will not stop on the way. Your life will not be swallowed by the enemy. Your rising will not be mitigated. Your greatness will not be swallowed. Your results will not be cut short. Your journey will not stop on the way. Your emergence will not stop on the way. Your tomorrow will not be swallowed.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not bury and you will not be buried. The lives of those connected to you will not be cut short. Every arrow of death fired against you and yours, I send it back to sender. Every plot of the enemy to send you sudden calamity and sudden destruction, I decree, it will not stand. You will not be counted amongst them who lost their lives and properties. There will be no death in your domain.
Jesus didn’t redeem you so that you can be thrown into the fire to appease Baal. Jesus set you free so that you will have life and have it more abundantly. Jesus redeemed you so that you will live in the fullness of joy. Jesus redeemed you so that your life can be an example of His will on earth. If Jesus’ journey did not stop on the way, then your own life will not stop on the way, and nothing concerning you will stop on the way.
Welcome to your season of abundant life. Welcome to that season where there will be no death, but abundant life.
John 10: 10 says: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
