When Jesus got set to turn around the life of the man at the pool of Bethesda, He commanded the man to take up his bed. That man had been on his bed whilst suffering the affliction that kept him at the pool, and one of the first things he was to do, was to carry the bed that once carried him. He was to move from being carried, to being a carrier himself. He was to move from being carried, to carrying what used to carry him.

Friend, I pray for you: in 2024, receive capacity to carry what used to carry you in time past. Receive capacity to take responsibility for the ‘bed’ that once carried you. Receive grace to carry those who once carried you. Receive grace to help those who were once your helpers. Receive grace to transit from being merely dependent to becoming dependable. Receive grace to move from weakness to great capacity.

Jesus commanded the man at the pool, to take charge of the same bed that was in charge of him. This year, receive grace to take charge of situations that prevailed over you in time past. Receive grace to take charge of whatever you were vulnerable to in time past. Receive grace to take charge of whatever controlled and ruled over you in time past. Receive grace to defeat the same things and circumstances that once defeated you.

In 2024, you are moving from oppression to dominion. You are moving from being subdued to being in control. You are moving from vulnerability to dominance. Be intentional in taking charge of whatever took charge of you before. Take charge of your family. Take charge of whatever you ought to be responsible for. Take charge of processes that should bring your results. Take charge of your assignment. Take charge of your environment. take charge of your emotions. Take charge of your mission.

You may have been out of control before now, but it is now time to take charge and be in control.

Ezra 10:4 (MSG) says: “Now get up, Ezra. Take charge – we’re behind you. Don’t back down.”

Declare With Me: In 2024, I take charge, I take dominion; I carry what used to carry me, in Jesus’ name!
