[dropcap]S[/dropcap]ame-sex marriage judgement of the Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg-France; unanimously, the World Court of Human Right has established, verbatim, “that there is no right to same-sex marriage”. The forty-seven (47) judges from 47 countries of the council of Europe, which are members of the plenary court of Strasbourg (the most important human rights court in the world), published a statement of great relevance which has been surprisingly silenced by the progress of information and its field of influence.
In fact, all 47 justices unanimously endorsed the ruling that, “there is no right to same-sex marriage. The sentence was based on a myriad of philosophical and anthropological considerations based on the natural order., common sense, scientific reports and of course, positive law.
In the latter case, in particular, the judgement was based on Article 12 of the European Convention on Human Rights. This also equates to treaty resolutions relating to human rights, in particular articles 17 of the P San Jose Act and 23 of the International covenant on civil and political rights. In these historic resolutions, the court decided that the notion of family contemplates not only “the traditional concept of marriage, that is, the union of a man and a woman”, but also that they should not be imposed on governments an “obligation to open marriage to persons of the same sex”.
With regard to the principle of non-discrimination, the court also added that there is no discrimination, since “states are free to reserve marriage only to heterosexual couples”.
From the foregoing, it is absurd and unthinkable for people of the same sex to get married without understanding the concept of marriage. What a Sodom and Gomorrah? Does a man have womb or vagina? Does a woman have genital organ called penis to impregnate herself?
It is purely demonic for a man or woman getting married to same sex. It is un-Godly and sacrilege that must be discouraged.
Unarguably, marriage is the first and oldest institution established by God where Christian families or homes make God’s word the standard of living.
Biblically, in Leviticus Chapter 18:22 says “thou shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination” and Leviticus Chapter 20:13 says “if a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them”.
The word of God is the standard of living a progressive family. Therefore, man marrying fellow man and woman marrying her fellow woman is abomination and abnormality. It is against nature and must be discouraged in the society.
Regrettably, in Nigeria gay or same sex marriage has infiltrated into some set of people without knowing or understanding the purpose of what marriage is all about. However, the Western World such as America and Europe have legalized gay or same sex marriage is a disgrace to manhood and womanhood. It is anathema for man to take fellow man as wife neither woman to take fellow woman as husband. What a degenerating society?
Instructively, Genesis Chapter 2:24 and 25 also said “therefore, shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh”. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed”.
The trend where some male youths these days put on earrings in their noses and ears in the name of modern culture or civilization is abnormal and against ethics in the society. It is alien to African culture and should be disallowed.
Definitely one will be addressed the way he or she dress. Sagging of short or trousers known as “low waist” imported by Africans. Homosexuality or gay same sex marriage is sin against God and man that should be resisted and discouraged in Nigeria and the world.
Therefore, the clarion call is for people of the world especially Nigerians to protect and defend the families or homes not to be ruined by the devil and his agents at the expense of building a Godly and progressive families and for posterity.
