
Tourism Leaders Celebrate Hon. Apata Samson on Birthday, Laud Contributions to Blue Economy
Tourism stakeholders and industry leaders across Nigeria have celebrated the birthday of Apata Samson Olamitunji Nunayon, praising his outstanding contributions to tourism development, media innovation, and the promotion of the blue economy in Nigeria and across West Africa.
Hon. Apata, a respected figure in the tourism and destination development sector, currently serves as the National Vice President of the Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN) South-West Region. He is also the Co-founder of the Badagry-Brass Blue Economy Forum (BB-BEF), National Convener of Tourism Vanguard for Tinubu, and Chief Executive Officer of EKO Destination Ltd as well as Eko Tourism Online Radio.
In a congratulatory message jointly issued by the Executive Councils of ATPN, the Africa Blue Economy Roundtable, the Badagry-Brass Blue Economy Forum, and the South-South Zonal Council of Tourism Vanguard for Tinubu, Hon. Apata was described as a visionary leader, creative entrepreneur, scholar, and innovator whose influence continues to shape tourism policy and cultural promotion in Nigeria.
The groups noted that his commitment to destination branding, stakeholder empowerment, and cultural heritage promotion has distinguished him as one of the leading voices in Nigeria’s tourism industry.
According to the statement, Hon. Apata’s proactive initiatives and strategic engagements have contributed significantly to expanding awareness around tourism opportunities and the blue economy, while also positioning Nigeria as a competitive destination for cultural and economic development.
The statement further praised his role in fostering collaboration among tourism practitioners and promoting sustainable industry growth both within Nigeria and internationally.
