The top finalists of The Voice Nigeria

Finally, the viewers of The Voice Nigeria season 3 has voted 6 talents as finalists as the show gradually comes to end. From eight to six for the grand finale on Saturday 24 July 2021.

From Team Darey, Esther Benyeogo and Kpee made it to the final while Team Falz two talents – Naomi Mac and Dapo took a spot in the finals. For Team Yemi and Team Waje they both lost a talent each.

Anu from Team Yemi and Nuel from Team Waje were edged out from the grand finale. Kitay and Eazzie survived for Team Yemi and Team Waja respectively.

Opening night performance was tongue-speaking and inspirational songbird, Esther Benyeogo. She pulled from her group beating all three guys to top that group.

Esther sang Beyonce’s Love on Top adding her own words with beautifully designed choreographed steps. On several occasions, she replaced a word with the name of Jesus in the song. Her coach, Darey couldn’t respond because he was too emotional.

Her performance was followed by Dapo from Team Falz with Michael Bolton’s song When a Man Loves a Woman. Dapo’s performance came with spice as his voice range dynamic compliments his song choice.

Kitay from Team Yemi sang Sexual Healing by Marvin Gaye on his red jump suit to compliment the song. A brilliant opening and sustained tempo was the height of his performance. He gave everything to delight of his coach.

The second talent from Team Falz Naomi Mac thrilled the audience and coaches with the legendary South Africa Brenda Fassie’s Vulindiela. Her energetic performance of music and dance brought the coaches on their feet.

She is a top contender and prize is between her and Esther with no disrespect to other talents. Naomi’s performance was counter to Esther’s last week performance bringing them par. Only this Saturday shall tell who the viewers are routing for.

Next on stage after Naomi, is Kpee from Team Darey who came too many dance dance steps and music for the cover of Fireboy’s Vibration. Nancy Isima tagged the Dancer with too much swag. But his voice range and confidence cannot be ruled out.

Eazzie got a hug from her Coach, Waje after her soul and emotionally moving piece And I’m Telling You by Jennifer Hudson that drops the closing cottons. Her comeback was emotional for her but the coaches knew she has made tremendous improvement.
