Diri Directs Completion of NYSC Female Hostel as DG Pays Courtesy Visit
Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has ordered the immediate completion of the ongoing construction of the female hostel at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Kaiama, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area.
The governor gave the directive in Yenagoa when the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier-General Olakunle Rafiu, paid him a courtesy visit.
Governor Diri also instructed the Commissioner for Agriculture and the Commissioner for Lands and Housing to make land available to the NYSC for agricultural activities in the state.
Earlier, Brigadier-General Rafiu expressed appreciation to Governor Diri for the administration’s continuous support to the scheme, particularly in Bayelsa.
The meeting had in attendance Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Abraham Ingobere, members of the State Executive Council, and other senior government officials.
