Foundation donates Facemasks to support Bayelsa Govt in Curbing Covid-19 Pandemic

A socio-political organization operating under the aegis of Inetek Elite Foundation (IEF) has volunteered to dole out some quantity of face masks to support the Bayelsa State Government effort in curbing the Coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic currently threatening the world.

The founder and leader of the foundation, Chief Inete Tekinikio-Korianda in a statement made available to the media said he has ordered for mass production of face masks and to be distributed to residents of Nembe and Brass Local Government Areas of the state following Government emphasis to make face mask and other preventive gears compulsory if the citizens are to move out of their homes or public in order not to contract the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.

Chief Tekinikio-Korianda appeal to Local Government Chairmen, State and National Assembly Lawmakers from Nembe and Brass Local Government Areas to empower the leaders at the grassroot so that in time of an emergency such as the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, the leaders at the local communities could be able to handle or manage the situation promptly without waiting for the political leaders and others at the helm of affairs.

He use the medium to call on other good spirited persons and Philanthropists in Bayelsa not to relent on the fight on Coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic that has brought untold suffering to the human race believing that only God can deliver us from this devastating holocaust of the time and cautions beneficiaries of his gesture to trust their safety on God.

Chief Tekinikio-Korianda however commended the state government for being proactive in curtailing the spread of the COVID-19 index case after recording the first-five tested positive cases in the state. A stitch in time saves nine! He concluded.
