“LEAVE NDDC MD OUT OF CONSPIRACY COUP; IMPEACHMENT PLOT AGAINST BAYELSA DEPUTY GOVERNOR IS ILL-ADVISED!’

– FORMER BAYELSA LAWMAKER FUMES;

– DESCRIBES PLOT AS HANDIWORK OF BLACKMAILERS, SPIN DOCTORS AND CONSPIRACY THEORISTS WHO ALSO BETRAYED THE LATE ALAMIEYESEIGHA!

A former lawmaker of Bayelsa State Sixth House of Assembly, Hon. Wilson Ayakpo Dauyegha, has lambasted those he termed as “Spin Doctors, Blackmailers, Conspiracy Theorists and Ahitophel Counselors” to desist from involving the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, to an alleged phantom coup and ongoing impeachment plot against the Bayelsa Deputy Governor.

Hon. Dauyegha called on President Tinubu not to take the doctored reports of coup conspiracy seriously as they were orchestrated to target perceived political opponents on who controls the APC political structure in Bayelsa State.

He hinted that this was the same tactics these greedy self seeking politicians of Bayelsa stock conspired against a former Governor of Bayelsa State – the late D.S.P. Alamieyeseigha before his impeachment that eventually led to his untimely demise ten yeras ago.

According to WAD in a press statement released on Wednesday, the former Ekeremor-born tactician, also berated those behind the intended plot to impeach the Bayelsa Deputy Governor – Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo – for not joining Governor Diri on his recent resignation from the People”s Democratic Party (PDP).

“The strategy of these blackmailers and spin doctors are too clear to see. They target viable opponents whose public goodwill and support of Mr President are obvious. They attempt to tarnish their image so as to rubbish such persons in order to give a dog a bad name to kill it. Dr Ogbuku, the MD of NDDC is being roped in the phantom couo by these detractors to taint his rising profile.”

The former lawmaker continued:

“Governor Diri should also avoid these same plotters after the MD of NDDC as they also the ones behind the plot to impeach the Bayelsa Deputy Governor – Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo. Just yesterday, in High Court of competent jurisdiction sitting in Abuja, had issued an interim interlocutory order pausing the planned impeachment, but these power mongers are hell bent on giving Governor Diri, the “Counsel of Ahitophel” nudging him to go ahead with the impeachment plot in contempt of court proceedings.

Hon. Dauyegha cautioned Governor Diri to take heed and remember how he came into power with the support of Senator Seriake Dickson who remains his leader and boss and not bite the finger that once fed him by attempting to jettison his political benefactor by impeaching his deputy who has shown commitment to the ASSURED Prosperity cause even up until this moment.

“The Bayelsa Deputy Governor has done nothing wrong to warrant impeachment. He should be allowed to maintain his party until his second tenure ends in 2028. These are the same blackmailers after Dr Samuel Ogbuku the MD of NDDC wanting to oust the Bayelsa Deputy Governor at all cost as well for their political interest”

“First it was a former governor from the South-South who was roped in a botched coup as a financier. His media aide had already rebutted those reports. Now a viable workaholic MD of the NDDC who has shown commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President, is now being roped in as well for obvious reasons to paint him bad before Mr President.”

“Let it be known that Dr Ogbuku has touched lives in more ways, and does not need to conspire with anyone to bring down Mr President. Mr President is happy with him and that’s why these political blackmailers are set to dim the shine of Dr Ogbuku to clear the road for their inordinate ambition to control the reins of power in the APC.” WAD reiterated.

While calling on the Presidency not to take the media reports seriously, WAD reiterated that Dr. Ogbuku has changed the narrative of empowerment and development for young people across the Niger Delta.

“We know those behind these recent moves of blackmail and subtafuge against the MD of NDDC and the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State. Governor Diri should not allow himself to be cajoled by his new found friends in the APC giving him the impression that they hold the presidency at the balls to arm twist him to their whims and caprices by blackmailing others to succeed in their vaulting ambition to be the next governor of Bayelsa State.”

“Diri we know as a man of peace. He should shine his eyes and avoid being used to achieve the ambition of greedy politicians that are bent on doing everything to achieve their vaulting quest for power. He should leave the Deputy Governor alone. They are advising him in error same way they are desperate to arm twist Mr President’s perception on the rising political profile of Dr Ogbuku and his giant strides in the NDDC.

“This is the same Pull Him Down (PHD) tactics adopted to these political blackmailers to deceive the presidency into the impeachment plot of former Governor Alaimieyeseigha. And today we are regretting such moves as disservice to the Niger Delta. This plot of blackmail by these same persons with appointments in the APC-led Federal Government should be stopped at all cost, lest we Niger Deltans stand to lose by allowing such conspiracy to sell out ourselves!”

The press statement by Hon. Dauyegha concluded.
