‘My Ijaw Husband’ Set For October 11 Premiere In Yenagoa
By Jonah Fubara, YENAGOA — Nollywood filmmaker and actor, Ipally Ipalimote, is set to premiere his latest movie, My Ijaw Husband, on Sunday, October 11, 2026, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The movie, produced under the auspices of Ipallytalker Entertainment Limited, is scheduled to premiere at Ayalla Hotel, Kpansia, Yenagoa, with the red carpet commencing at 3 p.m. and the main event slated for 4 p.m.
Directed by Ipally Ipalimote, My Ijaw Husband explores the theme of love and relationships, with the production highlighting the cultural identity and experiences associated with loving an Ijaw man.
The movie carries the tagline, “Love is sweet, but to love an Ijaw man is sweeter,” reflecting its focus on romance and Ijaw cultural identity.
The film features a cast comprising Ipally Ipalimote, Karina Poripo, Kalani Samuel, Itubo Kokopamo and Victory Nengimote.
According to the organisers, regular tickets for the premiere are available for ₦3,000.
