
NCDMB Holds One-Day Tax Workshop to Boost Staff Capacity in Port Harcourt
The Directorate of Finance and Personnel Management of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) held a one-day tax workshop for staff of the Board in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, aimed at strengthening their understanding of Nigeria’s evolving tax framework.
Mr. Uchendu Ossa, Director of Finance and Personnel Management, was represented by Mr. Mubarak Zubair, General Manager, Finance and Accounts Division (FAD), who delivered the keynote address and underscored the need for improved tax literacy across the organization.
The workshop covered several key areas, including a detailed guide to the new tax regime, the impact of emerging tax laws on transaction tax compliance within NCDMB, personal income tax obligations, and strategic planning for PIT. Facilitators also provided practical insights to help staff navigate the updated regulatory landscape.
A robust interactive session followed, allowing participants to ask questions, seek clarifications, and engage directly with experts on complex tax-related concerns.
In his closing remarks, the General Manager, Capacity Building Division, Barr. Esueme Dan Kikile, commended the Finance and Accounts Division for organizing the session and expressed profound appreciation to the facilitators for sharing their expertise.
He reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to continuous learning, emphasizing that training and retraining remain essential to building a competent and future-ready workforce. He further thanked all participants for their active engagement and thoughtful contributions throughout the workshop.
