The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in collaboration with Jayden Pride Technologies Limited, commissioned a fully equipped Feed Mill and Processing Facility in Koko Community, Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The commissioning ceremony, which took place at the Mile 4 Feed Mill facility in Koko, underscored NCDMB’s commitment to capacity building in key linkage sectors of the Nigerian economy. The event also marked the commencement of a specialised training programme for 30 Nigerian women under the Nigerian Women in Agribusiness (NIWAB) initiative, with focus on feed mill operations, safety standards and best practices.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Egoli Ebikombo-Owei of NCDMB’s Corporate Communications Division stated that the facility is expected to boost agricultural development in the South-South region. According to him, the project will enhance animal husbandry, stimulate job creation and drive increased economic activities within the host community and beyond.
In her remarks, Miss Chika Okechukwu, who represented Jayden Pride Technologies Limited, expressed appreciation to the NCDMB for its unwavering support for Nigerian content development and indigenous capacity building. She described the feed mill project as a practical demonstration of the impact of empowering local expertise and investing in sustainable agro-industrial infrastructure.
Also speaking, the Delta State Coordinator of NIWAB, Barrister Bethel Aboh, described the initiative as a strategic fusion of infrastructure development and human capacity building. She noted that the combination of modern facilities and hands-on training would promote sustainable livelihoods, women empowerment and long-term economic growth in the host community.
The project aligns with NCDMB’s broader mandate to diversify the Nigerian economy, strengthen local participation across value chains and promote inclusive development through targeted interventions in agriculture and other critical sectors.
