New Year Visit: Governor Diri Receives Predecessor, Senator Dickson

Senator Douye Diri, governor of Bayelsa State, alongside his wife, Hon. Justice Patience Ama Diri, received his immediate predecessor and Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson at his country home, Sampou in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, for a New Year visit.

Governor Diri stated that he will continue to be grateful to Senator Dickson for his continuous support to him and the prosperity government.

“We didn’t actually come to Toru-Orua, for our leader to retaliate, but the truth is, if someone does good to you, it is always good to appreciate it.

Even though we are brothers and friends, you have done us good, and in times like this, it is good we come to thank you. But seeing what we did, and because of the good leader that you are, you have to retaliate, and this is the third time this is happening.

So, on behalf of the government and good people of our dear state, we are still saying thank you, and this will continue until when God says it is our time to go.
