Omoni Oboli Rallies Fans on Sunday Morning, Says Short and Sweet Needs 5 Million Views for Part 2
Nollywood filmmaker and actress, Omoni Oboli, has issued a spirited Sunday-morning rallying cry to her fans, urging them to push her film, Short and Sweet, to 5 million views in order to unlock a highly anticipated Part 2.
In her post, Oboli revealed that she would have loved to make the story into a beautiful Christmas movie — and even direct it herself — but hinted that fan engagement must rise significantly to make that possible. “I would have made it a beautiful Christmas movie… maybe even directed it myself but y’all are not serious,” she wrote with a mix of humour and exasperation.
She encouraged fans to mobilize across all platforms, especially WhatsApp groups, to help reach the target quickly. “If you have a WhatsApp group, go tell them to get Short and Sweet to 5 million views! You can achieve it this weekend if you all watch it again!” she said.
With Part 2 now hanging on the collective effort of her audience, Oboli reminded her supporters that the power to make it happen lies with them. “The ball is in your court besties,” she added, accompanied by playful emojis.
Fans have already begun responding enthusiastically, pledging to share and re-watch the film throughout the day. All attention now turns to whether the community can deliver the 5 million views needed to bring Short and Sweet Part 2 to life.
