
PDP Sweeps Adamawa LG Polls, Wins All 21 Chairmanship Seats and 226 Councillorship Positions
By Our Correspondent – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has recorded a landslide victory in the Adamawa State Local Government Elections, clinching all 21 chairmanship seats and the 226 councillorship positions contested across the state.
The results were officially announced by Mohammed Umar, Chairman of the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission, at the commission’s headquarters in Yola after the conclusion of the collation of results.
According to ADSIEC, the election was conducted across the 21 local government areas of the state, with the PDP emerging victorious in all chairmanship and councillorship contests, further consolidating its political dominance in Adamawa State.
Announcing the outcome, Mohammed Umar said the results reflected the votes cast by residents during the local government elections and commended electoral officials, security agencies and stakeholders for their roles in ensuring a peaceful exercise.
The comprehensive victory is being viewed by political observers as a significant boost for the ruling PDP in the state, underscoring the party’s strong grassroots presence and organizational strength ahead of future political contests.
Party supporters across various local government areas celebrated the outcome, describing it as a demonstration of the electorate’s confidence in the PDP-led administration and its developmental agenda.
