
Police Constable Recruitment Screening Begins March 9 in Bayelsa
The 2025/2026 Police Constable Recruitment: Physical and Credentials Screening for Bayelsa State Indigenes Commences 9th March, 2026 as the Nigeria Police Force through the Bayelsa State Police Command has announced the start of the physical and credential screening exercise for applicants who successfully completed the online registration.
According to a press release issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Musa Mohammed, the exercise will commence on Monday, March 9, 2026, and run until Saturday, April 18, 2026. The screening will take place at the Police Officers Mess, Ovom, Yenagoa, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, starting 7:00 a.m. daily.
Applicants are required to log in to the official recruitment portal to confirm their status and print relevant documents before appearing for the screening. The Command also advised candidates to report strictly on the date indicated on their invitation slips.
The Police listed several documents applicants must present at the screening venue, including the application submission slip, physical screening form, invitation slip with table number, credential screening form, National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card, O’Level certificates, birth certificate or age declaration, and local government or state of origin certificate. Specialist applicants are also expected to present their trade test results where applicable.
In addition, candidates must submit completed guarantors’ forms with passport photographs and arrange all credentials neatly in two white flat files with recent passport photographs attached.
The Command further directed applicants to adhere strictly to the approved dress code, which includes white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Iyamah Daniel Edebor, warned members of the public that the recruitment process is completely free of charge. He urged applicants and members of the public to report anyone demanding or collecting money in connection with the exercise.
The Bayelsa State Police Command called on all candidates to cooperate with officials and prepare adequately for both the physical and credential screening in order to ensure a smooth and transparent recruitment process.
