
Rivers Community in Bayelsa Celebrates Akpe at 55
The Federated Union of Rivers Indigenes in Bayelsa State, (FURIBS) also known as the Rivers Community in Bayelsa, has congratulated the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Dr. Peter Akpe, on the occasion of his 55th birthday.
In a congratulatory message issued by the President of FURIBS, Chief Barisuka Prince Beteh, the union joined other well-wishers across the state in celebrating the deputy governor’s life, leadership, and service to humanity.
Chief Beteh, speaking on behalf of the executive members, traditional rulers, and the various ethnic groups that make up the organization, described Dr. Akpe as a committed public servant whose contributions to governance and community harmony have earned him respect beyond political and ethnic boundaries.
According to him, the Rivers Community in Bayelsa recognizes the deputy governor as a leader who continues to promote peaceful coexistence and inclusive development in the state.
“On behalf of the executive council, our revered traditional rulers and the entire Rivers Community in Bayelsa under the Federated Union of Rivers Indigenes in Bayelsa State (FURIBS), I heartily congratulate His Excellency, Dr. Peter Akpe, on the celebration of his 55th birthday,” Chief Beteh stated.
He noted that Dr. Akpe’s humility, dedication to public service, and support for unity among diverse communities living in Bayelsa remain commendable.
“Your leadership style, humility, and commitment to the progress of Bayelsa State continue to inspire many of us. You have demonstrated that leadership is about service, unity, and development for all,” he said.
Chief Beteh further prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the deputy governor as he marks the new age.
“As you celebrate this milestone, we pray that God grants you long life, sound health, and greater wisdom to continue your service to the people of Bayelsa State and humanity in general,” he added.
