Streams of Joy Daily Devotional 30th August 2022 | Bible Verse –

So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. (Ezekiel 37:10)

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hen the dry bones received breath from the four winds, they lived, and stood up on their feet. They received breath and they came back to life, and no longer needed anyone to even instruct them to arise. They arose on their own feet. They did not need to be carried. They did not need to be helped to rise. They changed position as breath came upon them. They received capacity to rise, and they arose. They stood on their own feet.

Friend, rise to your own feet. Stand on your own. Rise above the phase where you are being carried and dare to stand on your own feet. Go beyond that season where people were responsible for you, and dare to become more responsible for your own movement. Go beyond the level where you are relying entirely on favour to rise, and also build the capacity that will help you to remain risen. Rise on your own feet. Stand on your own.

It may have made sense for the dry bones to remain in the valley when there was no breath in them; but the moment God restored their flesh and their breath, the first thing they did was to rise with the capacity that had been put in them. Every capacity that God has put in you is meant to help you rise to your own feet. Heaven is not a waster of resources. If the breath has come on you, then rise.

Relevance is not about having men carry you all the time; relevance is about building capacity to stand on your own feet. Relevance is about rising on your own when the breath has come into you. Relevance is to bring forth results when heaven has invested in you. Relevance is to use your capacity to make impact. Relevance requires that you first become relevant to yourself by doing what you were unable to do for yourself before.

Relevance has no space for men who still want to be carried. Rise on your own feet. Rise to the occasion, and do what the occasion demands of you.

Ephesians 5:14 says: “Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.”
