TVT Bayelsa Celebrates Governor Douye Diri at 67, Commends Tourism and Infrastructure Achievements
Ebis Freeman, Yenagoa, – The Bayelsa State chapter of Tourism Vanguard for Tinubu (TVT) has felicitated with the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, on the occasion of his 67th birthday, applauding his contributions to the growth of tourism and infrastructural development in the state.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the Publicity Secretary of the group, Onisokien Victor, TVT Bayelsa described Governor Diri as a leader whose administration has made significant investments in critical infrastructure while creating a conducive environment for the growth of tourism and related economic activities.
The group noted that despite political differences, development remains a collective aspiration of the people, stressing that Governor Diri’s efforts in opening up communities through road construction, enhancing connectivity, and improving public infrastructure have contributed to the socio-economic advancement of Bayelsa State.
According to the statement, the governor’s administration has also played a vital role in promoting Bayelsa’s tourism potential by supporting initiatives that showcase the state’s rich cultural heritage, ecological resources, waterways, and hospitality industry.
“Tourism remains one of the most viable sectors for economic diversification and job creation. We acknowledge the efforts of Governor Douye Diri in supporting policies and projects that continue to position Bayelsa as an emerging destination for cultural, eco-tourism, and investment opportunities in the Niger Delta region,” the statement read.
TVT Bayelsa further commended the governor’s commitment to sustainable development, noting that infrastructure and tourism are closely linked in driving economic growth and improving the quality of life of citizens.
The group observed that ongoing development projects across the state have enhanced accessibility, encouraged business activities, and strengthened the prospects for increased tourism patronage in Bayelsa.
