Douye Diri Receives Victorious Bayelsa Queens in Yenagoa, Charges Team to go for win in WAFU Zone-B
Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri has charged the state owned female football team, Bayelsa Queens to emerge champions in the WAFU Zone-B competition.
Governor Diri gave the charge when he formally received the team at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa, after a victorious outing in Ikenne, Ogun State in the Super six Nigeria Women Football League.
The prosperity Girls who emerged champions in May, this year, officially presented the trophy to the governor in presence of Dr. Mrs. Gloria Diri, wife of the governor, and other top government officials.
The governor also used the opportunity to present a brand new Coaster Bus donated by Premium Trust Bank to the team to aid mobility.
