FCT Police Order Arrest, Prosecution Of Motorists Without Tinted Glass Permits, Concealed Plates
By Tams Jonah, ABUJA –Â The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Commissioner, CP Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi, has ordered the arrest and prosecution of motorists found driving vehicles with tinted glass without valid permits or using concealed vehicle registration numbers in the territory.
The directive is part of measures aimed at strengthening security and improving compliance with existing traffic and vehicle regulations within the nation’s capital.
The police said motorists who violate the regulations would be apprehended and prosecuted in accordance with the law.
The command also warned vehicle owners and drivers against deliberately obscuring their registration plates, noting that concealed or unreadable plate numbers could make it difficult for law enforcement agencies to identify vehicles involved in criminal activities or traffic violations.
Similarly, motorists using tinted glass were advised to ensure that they possess the required permit and comply with applicable regulations.
The FCT Police Command urged residents and motorists to cooperate with security agencies by adhering to the regulations, stressing that enforcement would be carried out within the territory.
The command reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety and security of residents across the FCT.
