INC Will Adopt E-Voting For Elections in April, Says King Dakuku

In a bid to eliminate irregularities in its electioneering process, the Ijaw National Congress, INC will adopt e-voting system for the pan-Ijaw group this April.

He stated this during a workshop to prepare and adopt appropriate measure to educate delegates for the election.

Speaking with journalists, HRH Lambo Dakuku, Chairman of the INC Electoral Committee, said the process would ensure a more credible and transparent elections for the congress.

According to His Royal Highness, this is a system of using electronic devices to plan the pre-voting, voting and post-voting stages in an election.

He noted that the INC will adopt the e-voting as a convenient process that would also help to reach out to more eligible voters.

The Chairman emphasized that the INC has developed strategies to bring all delegates together to teach and demonstrate the process to them in order to make the elections successful.

The Ijaw National Congress, INC is one of the first ethnic group to attempt electronic voting system for its electioneering process.

As a foremost Ijaw national group with great influential leaders, there are high expectations that with this e-voting process, leaders of integrity that would foster the growth and development of the Ijaw nation would be elected into positions of authority.
