NDDC in Partnership with News Agency of Nigeria, NAN

An NDDC Delegation led by the Director, Corporate Affairs, Dr. Pius Ughakpoteni, paid a courtesy visit to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Headquarters, Abuja, and was well received by the NAN MD/CEO, Mr Ali M. Ali. During this session, Dr. Ughakpoteni expressed the quest of the NDDC, to unite its developmental goals and transformative projects with the expansive reach and trusted reporting of NAN.

He said: “We seek a partnership to showcase progress and positive changes in the Niger Delta, and align our shared commitment to development with your impactful storytelling. Under our new leadership, the NDDC is fully committed to enhancing the socio-economic prosperity of the Region, in line with the strategic objectives set by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We are focused on building meaningful relationships with a variety of key stakeholders to drive this mission forward, and partnering with NAN is a critical step in this direction.

Together we can showcase the significant past achievements of the NDDC, narrating stories that illuminate our historical input, and inform, inspire and educate about the ongoing progress and positive changes in the Niger Delta – a testament to the strong foundation established by our previous efforts.”

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) MD/CEO, Mr. Ali M. Ali, welcomed the NDDC Delegation, led by NDDC Director Corporate Affairs, Dr. Pius Ughakpoteni, for a courtesy visit.

In response to Dr. Ughakpoteni’s address, the NAN MD/CEO, Mr. Ali M. Ali, buttressed the importance of NAN in mid-wifing a new image for the NDDC.

Mr Ali said: “The new dawn, and the desire to build new Partnerships by engaging the Media, is very heartwarming. Until recently, the NDDC may have been in the news for the wrong reasons, and that has eclipsed many of the giant strides the Commission has made in realizing its core mandate. Hence, we in the News Agency of Nigeria, gladly welcome this partnership.

NAN is known for its authentic, factual reportage, and is one of the three Resident News Agencies in the United Nations. When Institutions like yours, after displaying refreshed focus and aspirations, desire to partner with us, it is with great pleasure that we oblige. We feel there is an under-served audience, who need to know more about the positive impact of the NDDC, and by reason of this Partnership, this is where we come in. We welcome you.”
