Eunice Nnachi Women Advocacy Foundation, ENWAF, a non governmental organization, NGO stresses the need for Government at all levels to embrace transformative learning, invest more in inclusivity that instill in children the values of peace and tolerance to build a Nigeria of peace, progress, and prosperity for all.

Chief Executive Officer of ENWAF, Lady Eunice Nnachi stated this on the sidelines of International Day of Education with the theme” Learning for lasting peace”.

According to lady Nnachi “building a more peaceful future rests on our commitment to pursuing quality education.

Describing the theme for the celebration, “Learning for lasting peace,” as apt for such a time as this, the ENWAF CEO says education is indeed the bedrock of a truly peaceful society, that transform hearts and minds, and equips children with knowledge, values, and skills that foster not only academic excellence but also empathy, tolerance, and respect for our diversity.

In her words “Education is key to deep intercultural understanding, global peace and development in the world, Observing this day, marks a significant reminder of the compulsive need to see that everyone all over the world has access to high-quality education”

She therefore called on everyone, philanthropists, non governmental agencies, donor groups and governments to take strategic steps to improve education across our nation and the world at large.

Each January 14, the world celebrates the International Day of Education to praise and promote equitable access to knowledge and learning as a powerful driver to eradicating poverty.
