
PINL Set to Empower N’Delta Women, Commences Account Opening for Beneficiaries
Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) has commenced the account opening phase for beneficiaries of its Women Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Programme.
In a statement by its Corporate Communications Department, the company revealed that the programme is a flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative designed to empower 2,000 women and girls across host communities along the Trans Niger Pipeline (TNP).
The exercise, which began on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at The Pavillion Event Centre, Port Harcourt, Rivers State marks a key step in PINL’s ongoing effort to empower 2,000 women and girls from over 215 host communities along the Trans Niger Pipeline (TNP) corridor spanning Rivers, Bayelsa, Abia, and Imo States.
Officials from Premium Trust Bank are on-site to facilitate the seamless onboarding of beneficiaries, ensuring that each participant is financially included and prepared to receive start-up support for their enterprises.
This phase follows the successful completion of data capturing and verification activities, paving the way for the commencement of financial literacy training and business empowerment support.
Speaking at the event, Dr Akpos Mezeh, General Manager, Community Relations and Development, highlighted that the programme is designed to equip women with the skills and financial tools to build sustainable livelihoods and contribute to their communities.
Participants expressed excitement and gratitude for the opportunity.
“I dey pray to start small catering business, but capital na one big challenge. This program don give me hope,” said Mrs. Grace Okorie, one of the beneficiaries from Rivers State.
