
POCACOV: CP ASSURES RESIDENTS OF A CRIME FREE CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR CELEBRATION
The Bayelsa State Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Alonyenu Francis Idu, carried out Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) across the state ahead of the yuletide season.
The campaign aims to sensitize members of the public on the dangers of crime, and other social vices while promoting community policing, social harmony, and public safety during and after the festive period.
Through this initiative, officers of the Command have visited schools, religious centers, market places, and motor parks to engage residents and stakeholders on the importance of moral values, civic responsibility, and vigilance..
The Commissioner of Police, CP Alonyenu Francis Idu, commended residents for their cooperation and law abiding conduct so far, while assuring them of the Command readiness to ensure a safe, peaceful, and crime free Christmas and New Year celebration across the nooks and crannies of Bayelsa State.
