
Sagbama: Bayelsa Health Commissioner Visits Accident Victims, Assures Gov’t Full Support
Prof. Seiyefa Brisibe, Bayelsa State Commissioner for Health has reaffirmed the prosperity government’s unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of citizens following the recent accident that claimed lives and left several others injured at Sagbama local government earlier today.
On hearing the news, the Commissioner instructed the State’s emergency response teams to the scene and made a compassionate visit to the hospitals and checked on the victims receiving medical care, offering words of encouragement and assured them of the government’s full support.
He commended the dedication of healthcare workers on duty and emphasized that no effort would be spared to ensure that all injured persons receive the best possible treatment until full recovery.
The Commissioner also extended heartfelt condolences to families who lost loved ones in the tragic incident. While commiserating with them, he described the loss as deeply painful and assured the bereaved families that the government stands with them in this moment of grief.
He prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and for strength and comfort for those left behind.
“Relevant authorities have been directed to continue monitoring the condition of the injured victims, while necessary measures are being taken to prevent similar incidents in the future” he stated
He urged members of the public to remain calm, safety-conscious, and supportive of one another during this difficult time.
Prof. Brisibe also thanked members of the KOLGA Ward 12 Security Network led by Kolga Supervisor for Finance, Mr. Kemelayefa Yabrifa, who were on ground with his team to offer great support for the victims on the road.
The visit was widely appreciated by patients, families, and hospital Staff, who described it as a strong show of leadership, empathy, and responsibility at a critical moment.
